Spring is On Its Way- Etsy Artists Say So

If you want to keep a pulse on what artists of all types are thinking, try visiting Etsy.com’s treasuries. These are curated by Etsy shop artists and are usually chosen with a theme in mind.

While I’m writing this, I am in three treasuries and two of them mention Spring in their title. Think we’re tired of Winter already?

This first photo is a snapshot of one that lampwork artist Lara Lutrick curated. Birds, veggies, spring colors and flowers populate this colorful combination. It makes me smile and think of warmer days when I view it. And thank you Lara for including my peapod, in it.

The second treasury that mentions Spring is by Etsy Photographer, emeraldbluestudio1 and again features Spring- This time it’s “Peeking Out At Me…Tease!”. I love the whimsical combination of artist offerings which illustrate this point.

Just viewing the treasuries offers plenty of inspiration to keep me busy for quite a while. I can picture making a glass tree with a bird or a raccoon peeking out of it. (Hmmm, maybe that will go on my Studio “Make List”?) This treasury contains my Peeking Through the Window Bead. I was in one of Brad Pearson’s wonderful lampwork classes this past fall and we made window beads. Mine just needed a smiling face to turn his technique into more my style.

So as unscientific as it seems, I have to vote that Spring is on it’s way. It may take its time getting here, but Etsy artists and their treasuries seem to agree that they’re ready for it.
