It’s hard to believe I’ve been making jewelry over seven years now! In some ways, I still feel like such a newbie! My jewelry/beadmaking life began years ago when a good friend told me about a memory wire bracelet she had purchased at our local farmer’s market. She was sure we could figure out how to make some ourselves. Once I saw it I agreed and off to our local bead store we ran! That’s it in the first picture.

I was hooked!! One thing led to another and soon I was doing home parties, teaching others how to make memory wire bracelets as well as a variety of other jewelry. Around the same time another friend introduced me to the world of lampwork beads on eBay. I loved them and after a few months of buying those beautiful beads I knew I needed to find out how to make them!

And you know a lot of the story from there on. It’s been a wonderful journey that has given me incredible joy! So… I’ve been trying to come up with a new bracelet design for the St. James Court Art Show I’m doing the first weekend in October and have been coming up empty. I wanted to find a design that was less expensive than my other bracelets ~ I needed a good price point!

I was ordering some flexible bugle beads from Elements by Yvonne to use in a new earring style when I saw a picture that made my day. It was a great bracelet incorporating those beads and it was on memory wire. BINGO! Perfect!!

So now my head is spinning with possibilities and I need to stop writing about them and get back to making them! See you later!!
